Description
* We have received reports that a mobile crane collapsed onto the main deck of general cargo vessel, MEDKON RIZE (IMO: 9114347) during cargo operations at Marport, Turkey on 02 June 2024.
* It is reported that 28 containers fell overboard from the vessel as a result of the incident.
* Reportedly, 12 containers have currently been recovered and operations are underway to salvage the remaining containers lost overboard.
* It is possible that Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident and we have cargo surveyors on hand to assess the extent of damage to cargo, if required.
