Description
* We have received reports that the general cargo ship, YAF HORIZON (IMO: 9558919), experienced a fire in the engine room whilst discharging cargo at the port of Haifa, Israel, on 10 June 2024.
* It is reported that the fire was later extinguished with assistance from the local fire brigade and fire-fighting tugs and the vessel remains berthed at the port for inspection.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
