Description
* We have received reports that the product tanker, TONG YUN (IMO: 9566356), allided with a concrete jetty while departing Kaohsiung Harbour, Taiwan, on 8 June 2024.
* It is reported that a large portion of the hull on the starboard side of the vessel was breached as a consequence of the allision although there are no reports of any leakage of cargo from the vessel.
* The vessel currently remains at Kaohsiung Harbour for inspection and repairs.
* It is possible that General Average issues may arise as a result of this incident. We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
