Description
* We have received reports that general cargo ship, CELTIC CRUSADER (IMO: 9521370), experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 25 nautical miles north of Bizerte, Tunisia, on 14 July 2024.
* It is reported that the crew were unable to effect repairs and the vessel was consequently taken under tow by tug to Trapani, Italy for inspection, and possibly, repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
