Description
* We have received reports that general cargo ship GEORGIA SEJAHTERA (IMO: 9010072) experienced an ingress of water whilst in a position off the coast of Tebing Rambutan in Kaur Regency, Indonesia, on 26 September 2024.
* It is reported that the Master later intentionally grounded the vessel to avoid the possibility of the vessel sinking.
* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo stowed on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests
