Description
* We have received reports that combined chemical and oil tanker PETROLIMEX 11 (IMO: 9359636) experienced an engine failure in challenging weather conditions in a position approximately 20 nautical miles south east of Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam on 31 December 2024.
* It is reported that the vessel was subsequently taken under tow by a Vietnamese Navy ship to anchor off Vinh Tan port, Vietnam, where it currently remains for inspection.
* It is possible that General Average/Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
