Description
* We have received reports that products tanker, SANWA MARU (IMO: 9847217) ran aground in a position east of Esancho, Japan on 6 January 2025.
* It is reported that initial attempts to refloat the vessel were unsuccessful but efforts to refloat the vessel continue.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
