Description
* We have received reports that bulk carrier BOSPHORUS ASIA (IMO:9250696), ran aground in the Parana River, approximately 54 nautical miles from Rosario, Argentina, on 04 January 2025.
* It is reported that the vessel was successfully refloated with tug assistance and was later taken under tow to Ramallo Anchorage, Argentina, for inspection.
* Reports indicate that the vessel’s rudder blade was found to be missing upon an underwater inspection of the vessel.
* It is therefore possible that General Average/Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
