Description
* We have received reports that the general cargo vessel TRIO CAN BERAT (IMO: 8922254) experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 100 nautical miles east of Marsaxlokk, Malta, on 6 January 2025.
* It is reported that the crew were unable to complete repairs. Consequently, the vessel was taken under tow by tug towards Marsaxlokk for inspection, and possibly repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
