Description
* We have received reports that bulk carrier LOWLANDS DIAMOND (IMO:9965617), experienced a fire in a cargo hold at South Harbour, Aberdeen on 27 January 2025.
* It is reported that the local Fire Service have been attempting to extinguish the fire since it was first reported on 27 January 2025 but the operation requires the cargo to be discharged from the affected cargo hold and the firefighters are expected to be deployed at the scene for a number of days further.
* It is likely that General Average and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
