Description
* We have received reports that bulk carrier EVANTHIA (IMO:9308106) experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 342 nautical miles west of Cape Town, South Africa, on 17 January 2025.
* It is reported the vessel was taken under tow by tug to Durban for inspection, and possibly repairs, where the convoy arrived safely on 2 February 2025.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
