Description
* We have received reports that the containership SKALAR (IMO: 9458975) experienced an engine failure and subsequently ran aground off Rauma, Finland, on 22 March 2025.
* It is reported that the vessel was successfully refloated with the assistance of professional salvors and later moved to Rauma for inspection and, possibly, repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
