Description
* We have received reports that the general cargo vessel UAL BRAZIL (IMO: 9511636) experienced an engine failure approximately 65 nautical miles northeast of Nouadhibou, Mauritania on 28 May 2025.
* It is reported that the crew were unable to complete repairs. Consequently, the vessel was taken under tow by a tug to Las Palmas, Spain, where the convoy arrived safely on 4 June 2025, for inspection and possibly repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
