Description
* We have received reports that containership BG IRELAND (IMO:9355446), experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 14 nautical miles off St Catherine’s Point, Isle of Wight, on 20 June 2025.
* It is reported that the vessel was later taken under tow by tug towards Rotterdam.
* It is possible that General Average issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with the cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
