Description
* We have received reports that the general cargo vessel STARVIP (IMO: 9326495) experienced an engine failure at a position approximately 145 nautical miles east of Valletta, Malta, on 29 June 2025.
* It is reported that the crew was unable to complete the repairs. Consequently, the vessel was taken under tow by a tug towards Valletta, Malta, for inspection and possibly repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
