Description
* We received reports that the crude oil tanker THUN RESOURCE (IMO: 9773052) experienced an engine failure near Cape Kandilli Point in the Istanbul Strait, Turkey, on 14 August 2025.
* It is reported that tugs were dispatched to tow the vessel to the Büyükdere anchorage area, Turkey, for inspection and possible repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
