Description
* We have received reports that bulk carrier SHANDONG XIN ZE (IMO: 1026570) experienced a machinery failure while preparing to enter the access channel to the Port of Santos, Brazil, on 14 September 2025.
* The vessel subsequently went adrift and ran aground near the Santos waterfront.
* The vessel was later moved to anchor at Santos Anchorage with tug assistance, pending inspection and, possibly, repair.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
