Description
* We have received reports that the container ship W KYRENIA (IMO: 9211494) experienced a blackout while navigating at a position approximately 150 nautical miles south-east of Hong Kong on 4 December 2025.
* The vessel’s power supply has since been fully restored, and she is currently anchored near Guishan, China, completing local authority formalities and testing prior to sailing.
* The vessel’s owners have declared General Average, in view of the extraordinary costs incurred for the safety of the maritime adventure. Accordingly, General Average security will be required from all cargo interests prior to the delivery of cargo. We are able to assist in this regard.
* We have already been instructed by certain cargo insurers and have retained H&M surveyors to investigate the cause of this breakdown. As such, we may be able to offer economies of scale in respect of any third-party costs that may need to be incurred.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
